The first task brief is laid on the table in the living room. The second task brief is found on the table in the lab. The briefs for the task are as follows:

Take Alex to one side, and do the following things to him:

Confess your favourite piece of kitchen equipment.

Scream a body part of your choice in his face.

Declare a gardening tool in a silly voice.

You have three minutes.

Get the most orange juice in the vase.

Only your chosen items may touch the oranges.

The text on the first task brief is printed in orange ink, providing a clue as to what the second part of the task will involve.
In the second part of the task, the contestants enter the lab to find a pile of oranges and a glass vase on the table, along with the piece of kitchen equipment and the gardening tool they chose during the first part.
