Nick flips the entire table

Nick once again reads the rule stating he has only one attempt for his flick, flip, and flap. He then drops the task brief, picks up the table with the items still on it, walks toward the bath at the other end of the garden, and then flips the entire table onto the lawn. After Alex asks him whether he’s finished, Nick confirms that he is, stating “I think I’ve nailed it”.

In the studio, Greg states that he presumes the audience’s applause for Nick was sarcastic. After Alex notes that Nick had carried the table across the garden in a “wonderfully ceremonial way”, Greg notes that it was “borderline religious”. Nick notes that he’d been trying to get the table as far away from Alex as possible, which both Alex and Greg deny was the objective of the task.

Greg suggests to Sophie that she must be feeling much better about her own attempt now, and she agrees that she feels fantastic. When Alex asks Nick if he’d been watching the other contestants’ attempts and thinking he’d done something brilliant, Nick replies that he definitely had, since his attempt had been saved until last. John confirms that he’d leant over to Nick at one point and asked him if he’d done “something extraordinary”, and Nick had assured him that he had.

Alex states that he’d measured Nick’s flick/flip/flap from where the items started to where they ended up, which in this case was from the top of the table to the ground. He reveals that Nick’s total measurement was 10 pigeons (1 metre), which earns him just 1 point.
