Do the right thing
- In this task the contestants are given a wordy task brief which includes a series of compound negative clauses about whether they should or should not ring a bell, and they have to determine what they are actually being told to do.
- In some versions, the contestants are given a minor physical task to do while they make their decision, both as a distraction and in order to slow them down.

In this version of the task the contestants simply have to work out whether or not they should ring the bell.
Adaptations
In this version of the task the contestants must first make and wear a popcorn necklace, before either ringing or not ringing the bell.
