Long-distance waffle-making
- In this task the contestants must make a waffle using a waffle iron, with the catch being that the waffle iron is inside a designated area in which they must not set food.
- The contestant who makes the best waffle wins.
Original version
Long-distance waffle-making
In this version of the task the waffle iron is in the middle of a large, circular, red mat.
Adapted versions
In this version of the task the waffle iron is in the centre of a large box marked out on the ground with guttering.
In this version of the task, the out-of-bounds area is defined using a circle of rope, rather than a circular mat, and the contestants are instructed not to step inside the area oor move the rope. Also, the power cord for the waffle iron is in no way hidden from the contestants, simply running directly out and over the boundary circle.
