Wheelie bin obstacle course
- In this team task, the contestants must navigate an obstacle course while one of them is within a wheelie bin, and the others are blindfolded.
- An additional challenge is usually added through the requirement that none of the contestants may speak in their native language (and sometimes, even another commonly spoken language), or that the individual in the bin may only say words beginning with a certain letter.
Original version
In this version of the task, none of the contestants were allowed to speak English.
Adaptations
In this version of the task, the team of two were not permitted to speak in French, and the team of three were not permitted to speak in either French or English.
In this version of the task, instead of the initial task brief instructing the contestants to communicate only in foreign languages, the contestants are separated while the person chosen to ride in the bin is secretly presented with a second task brief, which instructs them that they may only converse with their team-mates using words starting with ‘H’.
