Lidija Bacic (aka Lile)
Biography
Lidija Bacic (born on 4 August 1985) is a singer, actress, and model.
She started singing at the age of 10 and, in 1997, entered a competition at the Children's Festival, performing the song 'The Boy in Love', earning first place.
During 2001, with the group Perle, Lidija participated in Dora (the Croatian Eurovision Song Contest competition) with the song 'Pokraj bistra izvora'. She also performed at the Melodies of the Croatian Adriatic with the song 'Na kamenu'. She was with Perle for seven years.
In 2002 Lidija performed again on Dora with the song 'Nemirna rijeka', and at the Split Festival with the song 'Rici', winning the Grand Prix.
Starting in 2003, Lidija began performing with the group Rafael, with which she won the Easter fest with the song 'Znak pobjede'. Then in 2004, at the same festival, she won the second prize with the song 'Created for the sky'.
In 2005 she finished as the runner-up of the second season of Croatian Idol.
Since 2008, Lidija has had a solo career in collaboration with composer Marko Tomasovic. The first single, ‘Day Behind Eternity’ was a version of the English song ‘All I’ll Ever Need’, and achieved considerable success on radio stations. The second single, 'Rain', was performed at Zagrebfest '08. She also won her second Grand Prix for that song.
In 2009, Lidija continued to perform at festivals and released her first solo album 'Mother's Love'. In 2010, at the Easter Fest, she won the 1st prize with the song 'Child of God' and the 2nd prize for the performance with the klapa 'Grobnik'. In the same year, Lidija performed at the Melodies of Mostar festival and won the 3rd prize for the song 'Mother's Love'. Later, she performed at Mediafest with the song 'Nisan sritna ja uz njega' and won the award for the most successful debutante.
In 2010, she performed at Melodije hrvatskog juga (Opuzen) and won the Grand Prix with the song 'Nisan sritna ja uz njega'. She also won at Zadarfest with the song 'If I Ever Lose You'.
In 2011, Lidija began collaborating with Tomislav Bralic and released the song 'Pisma nas je vezala', which is also on her second solo album 'Daj da noćas poludimo'.
In 2012, Lidija recorded the duet 'Dalmatinac i Dalmatinka' with Mladen Grdovic, which was released as part of her album 'Za tebe živim ja'.
She achieved her next musical collaboration in 2013 with Igor Ivanovic and Marija Luketa, with the song 'Vozacka dozvola', which she presented at the Split Festival.
In 2014, she started touring Slovenia and made a musical collaboration with the M&M - Matevz and Miha band, performing the song 'I'm still waiting for you'.
In 2015, Lidija released the song 'I'm doing great' and '100% maybe', which she also presented at the CMC Festival. She also released her third solo album 'Whiskey', with a hit of the same name. In 2016 she released the hits 'Clock beats', 'Damn good kiss', 'First Christmas without you', 'Compass', 'Irreplaceable' and 'Drunk from love'.
In 2017, Lidija released a duet with singer Luka Basi, which achieved great success at the top of the regional charts. The hits 'Shock', 'Who to live backwards', 'It's one night' and 'My fool' followed She also released her fourth solo album entitled 'Body as a Song'.
In 2018 she performed at the CMC festival with the song ‘3 minutes’. New hits 'Neka ljubav nova' and the duet 'Vino Rumeno' with the group Vigor followed.
In 2019, Lidija performed again on Dora with the song 'It just started'. Shortly after Dora, Lydia announced that she was working on her fifth solo album called ‘Revolution’.
