Task notes

• From the Taskmaster book: “we asked [the series 4 contestants] to run [100m], the full length of the Meadow [home of Chesham United Football Club], with a surprisingly heavy old-fashioned typewriter strapped to their chests, with the instruction to type a 50-word story while sprinting in the middle of a fiercely cold winter. The task did not make it to air as it looked more like torture than tasking and the typewriters refused to work properly because of the sub-zero temperatures...”
• Lolly’s 55 word story, which took her 4 minutes and 3 seconds to complete: “Once upon a time there was a girl called Lolly and she was twenty five years old. She was single and ready to mingle. She met her soulmate in a bar. He was a librarian and he always wore black. He was extremely clean. They lived happily together for the rest of their short lives.”
