Attempts

Here's a description of the contestants' attempts. Someone's probably working on collecting some images to add later!

  • Ida brings in a photo of her grandfather, whose name, she says, was too long. Her grandfather’s name was Harry William Christer Peder Johan Jensen. She earns last place.
  • Steinar brings in a comically large cotton bud, which he says he found in his bathroom with the rest of the cotton buds. However, Einar argues that because Steinar’s large cotton bud is a perfectly scaled-up version of a regular one, it is therefore perfectly proportioned – that it would only have been too long if the cotton bits on the ends were the same size as on a normal cotton bud. Steinar earns second place.
  • Einar brings in a plant with very long outgrowths, which stretch out of the pot and along the floor. Atle suspects that they’re meant to be roots, saying he has encountered the same problem, and that it also annoys him. Einar earns fourth place.
  • Amir brings in a picture of a duck with its penis extended, which is much longer than the duck itself. He says the picture gives him confidence, as it reminds him that it is possible to have things longer than yourself. He earns third place.
  • Solveig brings in season 2 contestant Magnus Devold, who admits that he is too long, and says he feels it particularly in a car or on a plane. He also suggests that the amount of time he had to wait under the cloth tent during the prize task was too long. Solveig earns first place.
