Attempts

Here's a description of the contestants' attempts. Someone's probably working on collecting some images to add later!

  • Solveig brings in her membership to SATS (a fitness centre franchise), which cost her 599 kroner (c£45) a month. She also shares that, over the previous 6 months, she had attended precisely zero training sessions. She earns fourth place.
  • Einar brings in two PlayStation controllers which have not been used. He explains that he plays a lot of the FIFA game, and that his controller had started to wear out, so he’d wanted to buy a new one. He’d initially purchased one online which was meant to be delivered within 14 days, but he’d then received an email saying it would actually take 11 weeks. He’d then ordered another controller through a different online store, but then discovered that that one would also take 11 weeks to get delivered. He’d then found another working controller which he already owned, and should have been using all along, instead of the defective one he’d been playing with. The upshot of all of this was that he now had one controller he uses, and two that were unnecessary. He earns last place.
  • Amir brings in some candle holders which look like two little people. He says he’d bought them because he thought they were salt and pepper shakers, and they looked cute. He also reveals that his wife doesn’t like them, and she says they were a completely unnecessarily purchase. He earns second place.
  • Steinar brings in a 16kg kettle bell, which he says he has used for exercise just once, and has mainly since used to press paneer cheese to make Indian food. He earns third place.
  • Ida brings in a pirate costume which she bought for her cat, who did not like it. She earns first place.
