Attempts

Here's a description of the contestants' attempts. Someone's probably working on collecting some images to add later!

  • Einar admits that he hasn’t whipped cream before, and that he usually just uses canned spray cream. Taking inspiration from this, he decides to use a spray in his attempt, by putting the cream into a drum, and then spraying the entire contents of a fire extinguisher into it. After doing so, he tips the contents of the drum out onto the grass, and claims he has made cream, although what remains inside appears to be mainly powder. He earns last place.
  • Ida pours the cream into a bucket, attaches a whisk to a drill, and attempts to whip the cream with it. The whisk eventually detaches from the drill, and she gives up on the process. Instead, she finds the cement mixer, which she decides to use even though she realises it probably won’t spin fast enough. She pours the cream from the bucket into the mixer and set is turning, eventually claiming that she has made cream (though what she has actually made is very lumpy and inedible). She spends 35 minutes on her attempt, and earns fourth place.
  • Amir puts the cream into a bucket, attaches a badminton racket to a drill, and attempts to whip the cream with it. Initially, the cream splashes everywhere, so Amir uses a tarp to hold over the bucket, to help contain it better. By the end of the task, the tarp has been removed, and the bucket is spinning along with the racket. He has successfully whipped the cream, though, and earns first place with his time of 9 minutes and 50 seconds.
  • Steinar puts the cream into a bucket, attaches a spade head to a drill, and attempts to whip the cream with it. However, the spade head falls off of the drill, so he replaces it with a forked twig, which proves to be much more successful. He completes the task in around 12 minutes, and earns second place.
  • Solveig simply visits the neighbour’s house, and asks them if she can borrow a hand mixer, which she then uses to whip the cream in a plastic container. However, she takes 32 minutes and 20 seconds to make her whipped cream, and so ends up in third place.
