Attempts
Here's a description of the contestants' attempts. Someone's probably working on collecting some images to add later!
- Sofie tapes together two pipes to create a long tube, and drags the bathtub close to the patio. She then begins pouring the glasses down the tube and into the bathtub; the tube is not quite long enough, so Sofie needs to take a step or two every time she moves between the table and the tube. While gathering up the empty glasses, Sofie realises that she has been walking on the patio while carrying drinks, and has therefore disqualified herself. Lasse confirms that Sofie is disqualified.
- Linda decides that her best course of action is for Mark to drink the beers and then walk to the igloo. After Mark chugs one, Linda starts feeling bad (she attributes it to her newly becoming a mother), and instead pours all of the drinks into pots from the kitchen. She and Mark carry the pots down to the igloo – Linda makes sure to walk on carpets while she’s on the patio. Linda completes the task in 11 minutes 53 seconds – until Jonas' actions disqualify her.
- Tobias takes advantage of his longer limbs. He grabs a tray and, standing on the somewhat steep hill that lays at the base of the patio closest to where the drinks are, simply moves the drinks from the table to the tray and places them in the igloo. While moving the glasses, Tobias wonders if there is a smarter way to solve the task. When pressed in the studio, Tobias says that his attempt did not have a “great energy about it” (ultimately, his premonition will be proven correct). Tobias completes the task in 2 minutes and 49 seconds – until Jonas' actions disqualify him.
- Simon gaffer tapes the tops of the glasses, to keep any beer from spilling out. He also chugs a few beers to cut down on the amount he needs to move. Simon believes that while the task dictates that he cannot walk on the patio while carrying beers, that there’s nothing stopping him from carrying Mark – who just so happens to be carrying beers. After realising that moving Mark is much more difficult than he expected, Simon declares that the task does not forbid him from walking on the patio with canned bear – so he opens up some tin cans and pours beer into them – drinking more beer along the way. It takes a few rounds, but Simon moves all the cans – except one – into the igloo. As he does not move all of the beer, Simon receives no points – until Jonas' actions, after which he is disqualified.
- Jonas moves some rugs onto the patio, so that he can walk across it while holding the drinks. Jonas samples the beer, declares it to be disgusting (as it is light beer), and asks where the beer came from. When Mark replies that the beer is canned, Jonas declares that the task specifically dictated “draught beer” (which by definition must come from a keg). Jonas and Mark go to a nearby pub and order twelve draught beers (ten to be moved, and one for each of them), then walk back to the Stormester house. When he delivers the beer, Jonas asks how long it took – while Mark does not tell him, the implication is that the two took quite a while to finish the task. In the studio, Lasse emphasises that the task was not meant to be a trick [indeed, it really does seem to have been a production oversight], but acknowledges that he is forced to disqualify the other contestants, as none of them moved draught beer into the igloo. Jonas' time is not given, but as the only one who completed the task as written, he wins by default.
