Attempts

Here's a description of the contestants' attempts. Someone's probably working on collecting some images to add later!

  • Igor uses the paintbrushes to roll up the carpet enough that he can reach the easel and canvas. He spends much of his time painting mocking his lack of artistic skills, at one point asking if it's required to paint Ivan's head in the portrait. Igor's painting is an attempted recreation of one of the house paintings, but looks more like an evil clown, complete with red eyes. Igor earns third place – until it is revealed that all five contestants broke the rules regarding touching the red mat, after which he is awarded zero points. Interestingly, Igor is shown deliberately stepping on the red mat. In the studio, he explains that he did so because he knew everyone else would accidentally disqualify themselves, so he set out to do so deliberately. Ivan says that honesty is not appreciated on the show, and docks two points from Igor's series score.
  • Lidija lays a carpet on the red mat so she can walk over to the easel without stepping on it. She forgets that only certain things may touch the red mat, and that a carpet is not one of those things. She decides to recreate one of the portraits of Ivan from the house. The fact that she broke the rules is unfortunate, because Lidija's picture is actually good – it is a replica of a small picture of Ivan standing next to a train, next to a forest with a deer in it. Lidija earns second place – until it is revealed that all five contestants broke the rules regarding touching the red mat, after which she is awarded zero points.
  • Ante decides that the first thing he needs to do is get the canvas off of the red mat. He uses some sort of pole to move the easel and canvas. Since the pole is short, he has some trouble, but eventually is able to move the canvas and easel onto the grass. Not much more is shown of his process, but he appears to be having fun, and is aware that he's not much of a painter (he calls his art “frightening”). Ante attempts to recreate one of the paintings from the house (the same one Igor painted), but Ante's is more abstract than Igor's. Ante earns fourth place - until it is revealed that all five contestants broke the rules regarding touching the red mat, after which he is awarded zero points.
  • Enio immediately uses a rake to pull the canvas and easel off of the red mat. Not much more is shown of his process, but at some point he abandons the brushes and begins finger painting. Despite the fact that what little footage is shown implies that Enio is concentrating on his art, in the studio it is revealed that Enio has painted a simple stick figure with red shoes on. Enio earns last place - until it is revealed that all five contestants broke the rules regarding touching the red mat, after which he is awarded zero points.
  • Ana is set an extra task during this one: to laugh every 30 seconds. Luka explains that since Ana laughs so much anyways, they thought they would just put it in as a task requirement. She runs to the shed, grabs the bottom half of a mannequin, and uses it to pull the easel and canvas off of the red mat. The rest of her edit is dedicated to her laughing. Ana paints a recreation of a photo of Ivan in front of a train (the same photo Lidija replicated), entirely in red paint. Ana wins the task - until it is revealed that all five contestants broke the rules regarding touching the red mat, after which she is awarded one point for her smiling and laughing.
