• Ana decides to centre her egg timer around putting on her make-up, which she estimates would take around five minutes. She allows Luka to pick which make-up colours she uses. They trade barbs with each other during this time in a way that indicates that they have been friends for a long time (this friendship was later confirmed by Luka on the Taskmaster: The People's Podcast). Ana earns first place.
• Enio teaches Luka a specific pace he is to walk. After the egg is put into the boiling water, he and Luka walk outside to the nearby tap and fill a glass with water, walk the glass back inside and pour it into an empty pot. Enio has Luka repeat this process ten times. In the studio, Enio reveals that he thought that it took two and a half minutes to soft boil an egg, and that was the timing he'd aimed for with his walking method. Enio earns third place.
• Ante has a hard time thinking of a timing mechanism. He finally lands on telling Luka to brush his teeth. However, as Ante was not present for the egg boiling process (unlike a few of the other contestants), he had no way of knowing that Luka's oral hygiene routine is very thorough. This ends up working on Ante's favour, though, as Luka spends close to four minutes brushing his teeth. However, Ante still earns last place.
• Lidija decides to write and sing a song that, once it finishes, the eggs would be perfectly boiled. She sends Luka a video of her reading a short essay about eggs, before starting to sing a short lyric about a girl named Nadalina who is making eggs. At the end of the video, she instructs Luka to remove the egg. The egg turns out to be undercooked, and Lidija earns fourth place.
• Igor thinks about what he could make that, once it's done burning, the eggs would be perfectly boiled. Instead, he ends up trying to build an hourglass by using pebbles and two plastic cones. He has difficulty figuring out a way to get the pebbles to fall consistently (or at all), and runs out of time to perfect it. As such, when it's time for the egg to boil, the timer quickly fails, and the egg is left in the boiling water until most of the boiling water has evaporated, and is very hard-boiled. Despite the failure in cooking the egg, Igor earns second place.
