• Ida decides to make a dessert sandwich, containing strawberries, banana, Nutella, Oreos, and ice cream, with a trophy on top of it. After receiving the second task brief, she removes the trophy and takes a bite of the sandwich, causing ice cream to ooze out as she squeezes it. Although she initially finds the sandwich delicious, she starts to feel nauseated towards the end, and states that she’s starting to black out. She finishes the sandwich in 6 minutes and 42 seconds, earning second place.
• Amir makes a “sandwich cotelette”, which he describes as being a combination of a hamburger and fries. The sandwich contains tomatoes, onions, meat patties, and some other fillings. He makes three fairly large sandwiches, and arranges them on a plate, garnishing them to resemble Atle’s face. Having received the second task brief, he eats just one of the sandwiches, stating that the other two he made were for Olli and the cameraman (Olli confirms, in the studio, that this had been Amir’s intention from the start). He consumes his sandwich in 14 minutes and 11 seconds, and earns third place.
• Einar’s sandwich has a selection of fillings, including french fries au gratin, some kind of meat, crisps, and Béarnaise sauce. After receiving the second task brief, he starts eating the sandwich, but acknowledges partway through that it had filled him up quite early on. He finishes the sandwich in 14 minutes and 27 seconds, and earns fourth place.
• Steinar fills the sandwich with entrecôte, fried peppers, salad leaves, and mayo. He names the sandwich “sandwich á la Atle”. While eating the sandwich, he comments that it does actually taste quite good. In the studio, he says that it was his favourite task of all of them. He wins the task, having consumed his delicious sandwich in just 1 minute and 55 seconds.
• Solveig decides to use some of her own money to boost her budget, and makes a massive sandwich using a whole bread loaf, a whole rotisserie chicken, half a jar of mayo, half a jar of pesto, and various vegetables and other fatty fillings. She also provides a can of beer, to accompany it. After reading the second task brief, she starts laughing, exclaiming “no no, then I’ll die!” (thus coining the episode title). She cuts the sandwich in half, but is unable to even take a single bite out of it, forfeiting the task. However, in the studio, she delivers a recreation of the sandwich to Atle, so that he can enjoy it himself. This delights him, and although she ends up in last place, he decides to give Solveig three bonus points for her sandwich.
