Task brief
The task brief is received in the garden of the Taskmaster house, where Olli stands with a small drone hidden behind his back. The brief for the task is as follows:
Eat the melba toast.
Fastest wins.
Your time starts now.
Task notes
- Hanging from the drone by a thread is a small round slice of melba toast.
- As soon as the contestants have read the task brief, he lets go of the drone, which flies straight up into the air, out of their reach.

Here's a description of the contestants' attempts. Someone's probably working on collecting some images to add later!
- Espen is too slow to grab the drone before it flies out of his reach. He tries throwing a stick at it, but misses. He then tries to throw a garden chair at it, but this is also ineffective. He then tries throwing the wire grill from a barbecue at it, and succesfully knocks the drone out of the air, so he can eat the toast. In the studio, Olli shares that he took 3 minutes and 30 seconds to eat the toast, so places second.
- Henriette gets very frustrated immediately. Olli helps her move a table from out of the house to beneath where the drone is hovering, and she climbs up on it with a rake to try to reach it, but is still too far away. She then tries throwing the rake into the air to hit the drone, but misses by quite some distance. She fetches a small pink object (perhaps a lamp or birdfeeder?) from the caravan and tries throwing that at it, but misses again. As she is returning from having retrieved that object, the drone's battery runs out, and it comes to rest on the ground, allowing her to eat the toast. In the studio, Olli shares that she took 11 minutes and 20 seconds to eat the toast, so she places fourth.
- Live asks if it's okay if she destroys the drone, while returning from the shed with two hula hoops. She throws one of the hoops directly upwards into the air, hitting the drone and bringing it down to the ground. She then excitedly eats the melba toast directly from the thread while crouching over the disabled drone. In the studio, Olli shares that she took 4 minutes and 55 seconds to eat the toast, so places third.
- Kristoffer reacts quickly, and is able to grab the thread hanging from the drone before it evades his reach. He is therefore able to eat the melba toast in just 11 seconds, and wins the task.
- Martha initially tries to swipe the drone out of the sky using a rake, but is very much too low for that. She then tries to use the water from a garden hose to hit the drone, but the water pressure is very low. She returns from the house with a large bowl full of balls, which she throws at the drone, missing many times. As she is collecting all of the balls to have another go, its power finally runs out, and it comes to a rest on the ground. Not realising what has happened, she throws the bowl down on the drone to prevent it flying away again, and manages to crush the melba toast into pieces. She then has to eat all of the bits from the ground, along with a few pieces of grass and dirt. In the studio, Olli shares that she took 11 minutes and 49 seconds to eat the toast, so places last.
