Here's a description of the contestants' attempts. Images will be added later.
- Eija opens the bottle and, upon confirming that the banana won’t fit through the neck of the bottle whole, takes the banana into the kitchen. While running the banana under the tap, she cuts it up using a pair of scissors, stating that this is not the first time she has had to chop up a frozen banana. She returns to the lab and starts to put the banana into the bottle, only to then discover that the bottle is filled with clear jelly. She then declares that she’s just going to do whatever she can, and continues stuffing as much banana into the bottle as possible. Eija puts the dish containing the remainder of her banana under the back of her shirt, and reverses out of the lab, “for reasons,” swearing that she’s not hiding anything. It’s clear from her expression that she’s fully aware that everyone knows she’s taking some of the banana with her. In the studio, Pilvi reveals that not only did Eija leave the task with some of her banana, but she also removed it from the premises entirely. Eija leaves the lab after 4 minutes and 26 seconds, and earns last place.
- Assuming that she’ll need to crack the code on the combination lock, Pirjo starts to fiddle with it, only to discover that she can easily pop the top off of the bottle. She picks up the banana and, realising that it is frozen, starts slamming her fist into it, to break it up. She also uses the bottle and her feet to help mash up the frozen banana. She starts to put the mashed banana into the bottle, only to then discover that it is filled with clear jelly. Pirjo uses what appears to be a pen to try to ram some more banana down into the bottle. What she cannot get into the bottle, she builds up into a tower, poking up from the neck of the bottle, and declares the task finished. She kind of completes the task in 6 minutes and 42 seconds, and earns fourth place.
- After reading the task, Fathi picks up the banana and immediately leaves the lab. In the kitchen, Fathi bemoans the lack of a microwave in the kitchen, but is otherwise confident in his culinary skills, as he previously trained as a chef. Fathi slices the banana into small, oblong pieces, then returns to the lab. He starts to put the banana into the bottle, only to then discover that it is filled with clear jelly. He tries to suck some of the jelly out of the bottle, only to spit out whatever he managed to suck out, as the jelly is not flavoured. The rest of Fathi’s attempt is unclear from the edit, in the studio, Pilvi reports that he did, in fact, manage to get the entire banana into the bottle, despite a large amount of jelly remaining inside. Fathi completes the task in 12 minutes and 36 seconds, and earns second place.
- Paleface picks up the banana and realises that it is frozen. He looks at the bottle to see if it is frozen as well, and realises that there’s something in it. However, like some of the other contestants, he believes that the bottle contains ice. He takes the banana into the kitchen and, while running it under hot water to thaw it, wonders how he can melt the ice in the bottle. He puts a pot of water on the stove to boil, wondering if he is taking too much time. When the water is hot enough, Paleface takes it into the lab, and places the bottle into it. After leaving the bottle in the hot water for some time, he extracts it and throws it against the floor a few times. Fortunately, the bottle does not break, and this process loosens up the jelly. He manages to remove half of the jelly from the bottle, and is then easily able to feed his mushy banana into it. He completes the task in 16 minutes and 47 seconds, and earns third place.
- Kalle starts rubbing the banana, in an attempt to get it to thaw. He thaws enough of the banana to remove some of the skin. When he starts trying to put the skin into the bottle, he notices that the bottle is filled with what he initially believes to be hair gel. He picks up the bottle and starts vigorously shaking it, dislodging small amounts of the jelly, and causing it to fall out of the bottle. He apparently also sources some chopsticks, off-camera, to help, as they are present on the table later in the footage of his attempt. When Kalle has displaced enough jelly from the bottle, he starts slicing the banana into long, thin strips, and pushes them down into the bottle. He declares that his resulting creation could be sold in home décor shops. Kalle completes the task in 8 minutes and 8 seconds, and earns first place.
