Task brief
The task brief is laid on a stack of poker chips, on a poker table in the study. The brief for the task is as follows:
Place bets against David and win.
The person who gathers the most chips wins.
If you go bust, you’re out.
You have 15 minutes.
Your time starts now.

Task notes
- David, dressed like a card dealer, sits on the other side of the poker table, with his own stack of chips.
- Everyone starts with 90 chips.
- In the studio, David clarifies that there are no limits on the bets, as long as both parties agree to the terms.
- Although similar in nature to the ‘Play rock-paper-scissors with David’ task from season 6, this version is more open-ended, and so is categorised as original here.
- There are also similarities to Taskmaster NZ's 'Win a bet against Paul' task, but also significant enough differences to categorise this one as original.
