Season synopsis

Season 3 of Taskmaster NZ, consisting of 10 episodes, began airing on 6 July 2022.

The contestants for the season were Chris Parker, Josh Thomson, Justine Smith, Kura Forrester, and Paul Ego.

Notes

  • Towards the end of April 2022, NZ On Air (a government agency which provides funding for public media) announced that funding was to be provided for the production of a third season of Taskmaster NZ.
  • Following this announcement, comedy writer Sam Smith confirmed on Reddit that the funding had been received long before the official funding announcement. He shared that he had written the tasks for the season back in February, and that the pre-recorded tasks had already been filmed.
  • On 10 May 2022 a Reddit user who had been assigned tickets for one of the studio filming sessions shared that these sessions were scheduled to take place, two per day, between 23 and 27 May 2022.
  • A TVNZ ad-booking schedule released in May 2022 revealed that it is was anticipated that the season might start airing as early as 6 July 2022, but possibly up to three weeks later.
  • On 18 June 2022 the NZ Herald revealed that the contestants for the season would be Kura Forrester, Chris Parker, Josh Thomson, Justine Smith, and Paul Ego.
  • On 22 June 2022 the first trailer for the season aired, confirming that it will begin airing on 6 July 2022.
