Task brief

The task brief is presented on top of a pile of raisins on the table in the study. The brief for the task is as follows:

Gather the raisins for the guests of the New Year’s party.

Make the most piles of a dozen raisins each.

Additionally, you must raise your arms and wish a different historical figure a ‘Happy New Year’ every time Markl blows his whistle.

Markl will blow his whistle every 10 seconds.

Each time you swear, one pile of raisins will be deducted from your total.

You have 10 minutes, but your time will end if you fail to raise your arms in the air and wish a ‘Happy New Year’ to a different historical figure.

Your time starts when Markl blows his whistle.

Task notes

In Portugal, it is traditional to eat a dozen raisins at the stroke of midnight on New Year’s Eve, as it is meant to bring good luck for the following year.
Markl has an assistant of his own during this task: a small child named Francisco, who is dressed exactly like him, including his grey hair and glasses. Markl, however, insists that the child’s name is “Marklínimo” (presumably a portmanteau of ‘Markl’ and ‘mínimo’, and like saying ‘mini-Markl’).
Francisco actually cosplayed as Markl during Carnival in February 2024, which Markl posted about on his Instagram account.
