Mastertask notes:

In this version of the task, the contestants are first instructed to choose a disadvantage for themselves, without knowing what the task is. They are then instructed to choose a hat, without knowing what they are going to be doing with it. They must then get their chosen hat onto the head of the bust of Babben, which is set up on a plinth on the driveway, from as far away as possible.

Task brief

The task brief is found in the mailbox outside the caravan. The brief for the task is as follows:

Place the hat on your head on Babben’s bust.

The one who is furthest from Babben’s bust when the hat is placed on the head of Babben’s bust wins.

You must be subject to your chosen disadvantage throughout the task.

You have 20 minutes.

Task notes

Prior to the task brief being read, David instructs each contestant to enter the caravan and put on one of the hats they find there. He warns them that while they have free selection of any hat, their choice will be important for the upcoming task.
A short distance away from the caravan, set up on a plinth, is Babben’s bust.
