In this version of the task, the contestants must attempt to be the second-slowest person to arrive in the lab, with an excuse for being late. The slowest contestant earns no points. There is a bonus point for the person who arrives with the best excuse for being late.

The task brief is laid on a coffee table in the upstairs lounge. The brief for the task is as follows:
Olli’s sitting in the lab waiting for you.
Be the penultimate to arrive.
You must have an excuse for being late.
You must have an excuse that can be seen when you enter the lab.
Bonus point for best excuse.
The most delayed one gets no points.
Your time starts now.

- Olli is seated in the lab, waiting for the contestants, with a large analogue clock resembling a stopwatch hanging from the ceiling behind him.
