Task brief

The task brief is laid on a Taskmaster-branded marker spot in the driveway. The brief for the task is as follows:

Get this beach ball across the finish line.

Only water may touch the ball.

Fastest wins.

Your time starts now.

Next to the marker spot, there is a starting line for a course, denoted by a sign reading ‘PARTIDA’ (‘DEPARTURE’), mounted on two wooden posts which are stuck into the top of traffic cones.
The traffic cones are held in place with bricks, and there is a beach ball between them.
Beyond the starting line, a course has been marked out with more traffic cones and some string, leading through a couple of obstacles: a camo net laid over two oil drums, and a very low brick wall.
The course ends at a finishing line, much the same as the starting line, but with a sign reading ‘CHEGADA’ (‘ARRIVAL’).
A hosepipe is provided close by, and is long enough to stretch the entire course, but the spray nozzle has been set to the least powerful setting.
