You have 30 seconds to replace your hands with either flippers or spatulas.

If you choose the spatulas, you must put on the goggles.

After you make your choice, head to the lab.

From now on, you must always address Markl as ‘His Excellency Markl’.

Please comply with His Excellency Markl’s request, and prepare the best sandwich for His Excellency Markl.

The sandwich with the best presentation wins.

Task notes

Also on the table, there are a pair of flippers, a pair of kaleidoscope lens goggles, a wide spatula with holes in it, and a thinner spatula.
Markl is seated at the table in the lab, holding a menu for the Tasco Master (‘Tavern Master’) restaurant.
Various ingredients and condiments for making the items on the menu are provided on a set of shelves in the lab.
Markl orders the same sandwich from everyone, containing: a slice of ham; a slice of cheese shaped like a teddy bear; four slices of tomato shaped like “pretty stars”; a slice of ricotta cheese “so thin it looks like it’s made of air”; a pineapple slice shaped like a hexagon; a whole boiled egg yolk; a “lonely, sad-looking” French fry; and a sauce of the contestant’s choosing, in the shape of a heart.
