Task brief

The task brief is balanced on top of a football, on a circular red Taskmaster-branded mat, on a grass sports pitch surrounded by a high fence, on the edge of a cliff on Cockatoo Island. The brief for the task is as follows:

Score a goal against goalkeeper Tom from one of the mats.

You must shoot from the closer mat whilst blindfolded, or from the further one whilst Tom is blindfolded.

Once a mat has been selected, you cannot change.

You cannot move either mat.

You must say your last name before each shot.

Best attempt wins.

You have 20 minutes.

Task notes

At the opposite end of the pitch, a football goal has been set up.
A second circular red Taskmaster-branded mat has been laid on the ground halfway along the pitch.
Black-out goggles with images of the wearer’s own eyes on the front are on hand for both the contestants and Tom Cashman.
Although the task brief states that the 'best' attempt wins, the task is scored based on how few attempts the contestants took before scoring.
