Task brief
The task brief is hidden within a very large jar full of marmalade, on the table in the study. The brief for the task is as follows:
Create and debut a children’s character.
Your character’s first name must be spelt from your handful of letters, and its second name must be a word on the dictionary page your bookmark landed on.
Most marketable children’s character wins.
You have 45 minutes.
Your time starts now.

Task notes
- The jar of marmalade is presumably a reference to an Australian kid’s TV character.
- Also on the table, there is a bowl full of Scrabble letter tiles, a dictionary, and a bookmark.
- Before the contestants read the task brief, Tom Cashman asks them to grab a handful of letter tiles from the bowl, and place the bookmark between two pages in the dictionary.
- This task is similar to the ‘Create a children’s TV puppet sidekick for Alex‘ task, but also very much distinct enough to be categorised here as original.
