Task brief

The task brief is laid on a small table near the shed. The brief for the task is as follows:

Complete all of the tasks.

Each task must be completed in a satisfactory manner, in terms of quality.

The baby must stay in the baby carrier throughout the entire task, except when you have to change the nappy.

You must complete all of the tasks in the next 10 minutes.

The one with the least amount of baby spillage wins.

Your time starts when Markl blows his whistle.

Also on the table, there is a bucket of water labelled ‘BEBÉ’ (‘BABY’) in a disposable nappy.
On a chalkboard, the following chores are listed:
- Lavar a loiça (Wash the dishes)
- Pendurar a roupa (Hang the clothes)
- Sacudir o tapete (Shake the carpet)
- Preparar o leite do bebé (Prepare the baby’s milk)
- Limpar os sapatos do Taskmaster (Clean the Taskmaster’s shoes)
- Mudar a fralda (Change the nappy)
Stations have been set up around the garden for the chores:
- a picnic table with two plastic basins, a sponge, dishes and dish soap has been set up in the gazebo
- a basket of laundry and pegs next to a clothesline near the annex shed
- a carpet covered with flour in order to ‘dirty’ it on the ground near the annex shed
- a small table with a pair of shoes and a brush near the annex shed
- a smaller picnic table with a bowl of powdered milk, an empty baby bottle, and a pitcher of water near the shed
- a table with a baby doll, a diaper, baby powder, and an oversized pacifier
The contestants arrive wearing baby carriers, and Markl places the ‘baby’ into the carrier once the task brief has been read.
