Task briefs
The initial task brief is attached to a whiteboard in the lab. All of the other task briefs are attached to the contestants’ overalls by Markl. The briefs for the task are as follows:
Complete all the tasks, then put the tubs back on your heads.
One person must be looking at a team-mate at all times during these tasks.
Also, one person must be shaking their head and smiling at all times during the task.
And one person must only shout.
Fastest wins.
Your time starts when Markl blows his whistle.
Do a total of 20 squats.
Shake hands.
Sniff the living room door.
Shake hands.
Write a powerful message to the other team on the whiteboard.
Shake hands.
Make your buckets look like your faces.
Shake hands.
Tell each other something you’ve done that you regret.
Shake hands.
Eat a bowl of cereal in the lab.

Task notes
- Also in the lab, there are two or three large plastic tubs (depending on the number of team members), as well as a corresponding number of dry-erase markers for the whiteboard.
- Markl instructs the contestants to place the tubs on their heads, while he attaches 12 task briefs to the Velcro strips on the overalls they are wearing.
