Task briefs
The initial task brief is held between two long poles by David, in the study. A large number of other task briefs are hanging from the ceiling. The actual task brief to be completed is written on a large piece of card hung on the roof of the house, just below an attic window. The briefs for the task are as follows:
Open and carry out all of the tasks that are on the roof.
You may only take down and open tasks with the help of your chopsticks.
Fastest wins.
Your time starts now.
Instruct David in a 1-minute long training routine.
Juggle a football six times.
Ignore this task.
Put on the eye patch and keep it on for the rest of the tasks.
Put on the fetter that is in the bar and keep it on for the rest of the tasks.
Put on one of the jackets that are currently hanging in the hallway, and keep it on for the rest of the tasks.
Put on the gloves that are currently outside of the shed, and keep them on for the rest of the tasks.
Fetch the teddy bear from the caravan and carry it with you for the rest of the tasks.
Put on a hat, and rap about your hat.
Put on one of the jackets from the hall.
Name 18 countries. David must know their capitals.
Shake David’s hand for 5 minutes.
Write an exciting play and perform it with David.
Outside, on the roof of the house:
Give David a high-five.

Task notes
- In Swedish, the word ‘tak’ refers to both ceilings and roofs, and prepositions are key to providing context as to which is meant in a given situation: ‘på taket’ – the phrasing used in the task brief – translates as ‘on the roof’, while ‘i taket’ roughly translates to ‘in the roof’ (implying the ceiling).
