Task brief

The task brief is attached to a closed door connecting the study to the dining room. The brief for the task is as follows:

Make the bookshelf on the right identical to the bookshelf on the left.

The most identical bookshelf wins.

You have 10 minutes.

Your time starts now.

Task notes

  • Before the task brief is read, David tells the contestants to choose one of three handicaps for the task: wearing a blindfold, without using their hands (David handcuffs them with their arms behind their backs), or without being able to enter the dining room.
  • The already-staged bookcase inside the dining room (from which the dining table has been removed) features an assortment of items, including: a miniature globe; two different vases of flowers; two oversized dice; a Rubik’s cube; a framed picture of Babben; a fishbowl with a large rubber duck floating in it; a potted plant; a potted cactus; a chess set with its pieces already positioned; a tray full of drinking glasses; a statue of a dog; a small treasure chest; and three goblets.
  • A table with all of the matching items is placed just outside the connecting door in the study.
