This version of the task omits the stage of the task involving feeding birdseed to a crewmember dressed as a bird.

Task briefs

The initial task brief is laid on the desk in the study. Subsequent task briefs are presented on a small stand on a plinth just outside of the front door. The briefs for the task are as follows:

Count all the dots on this card.

You may not touch or mark the card.

You must answer in 10 minutes.

Every time the doorbell rings, you must open the door and perform the instructions you are given.

Most accurate answer wins.

Your time starts now.

Wear these goggles until the doorbell rings again.

Stay behind the barrier until the doorbell rings again.

Put on boxing gloves and an eyepatch, and count like a pirate until the doorbell rings again.

Put on a swimming cap and goggles, and giggle until the doorbell rings again.

Scream during the rest of the task.

Task notes

Also on the desk in the study, there is a (double-sided) card with a total of 1,742 various-sized dots on it (black on white on one side, and white on black on the other).
Each time the doorbell rings, any props needed to complete the instructions on the next task brief are provided on the plinth next to the doorbell.
Each time the contestants leave the study to answer the door, Mark flips the card on the desk over to the opposite side.
During the screaming part of the task, Mark also plays various instruments loudly in the room. As he does, and as the contestants scream, a phone positioned on the table directly behind the desk rings with a call from the Stormester which – if answered – provides them with the exact number of dots on the card.
The answer is also provided as the house number, just outside the front door. This house number is present for all of the tasks this season.
