Task brief
The task brief is laid on a circular red Taskmaster-branded market spot on the lawn, next to the dome. The brief for the task is as follows:
Provide the best drive-through experience.
Your first customer will arrive in five minutes from now.
The next five customers will arrive every two minutes after that.
They are expecting fast service, accurate pricing, and great food.
Your time starts now.

Task notes
- The hutch, the dome, and the front door of the house have all been turned into service points, with signs reading ‘TM DRIVE THRU’ mounted above them.
- The hutch has been converted into the ordering kiosk, with a sign reading ‘ORDER HERE’ mounted beneath its window, along with a menu listing all of the available items of food and drink on offer. The menu includes the following mains…
- Warm bread sandwich with butter on the outside (£5.00)
- Triangle (+£1.03)
- Pentagon (+£1.05)
- Circle (+£1.01)
- Burnt toast (£2.50)
- Toast soldiers (£7.40)
- Toast that actually looks like soldiers (£10.04)
- Steamed bread (£3.99)
- …and the following sides…
- Ten ice cubes in a tower (£1.50)
- A small flour castle with a moat (£0.99)
- Home made confetti (£1.25)
- …and the following drinks, available in small (£2.50), medium (£3.50), and drizzle (£0.99) sizes…
- Still milk
- Dirty water
- Chewy milk
- Fizzy milk
- The dome has been turned into the payment kiosk, with a sign reading ‘PAY HERE’ beneath a window which has been created by removing one of the hexagonal panels. There is a table with a till inside, along with some brief instructions on how to use the till.
- The front door of the house has been turned into the collection point, with a sign reading ‘COLLECT HERE’ mounted above it.
- The living room has been turned into a food preparation area, with its own copy of the menu on display against one wall. On one table, there is a microwave and a toaster. On the other, there is a cutting board, a loaf of sliced white bread, a bag of flour, bottles of water and milk, a jar full of ice cubes, some drinking glasses, a small castle mould, and kitchen utensils. There also appears to be a SodaStream device on a plinth, with its own bottle, and there are plates and trays somewhere in the room for serving.
- Each contestant is dressed in a baseball cap featuring an image of some french fries, and an apron, and is equipped with a walkie-talkie, so they can communicate with one another.
- The customers who turn up are played by Alex, by show producer Andy Cartwright, and by another member of the production team, each of them making two separate orders during the task. Initially, all three turn up wearing the same suit and yellow bobble-hat combo that Alex and Andy wore during the ‘Take a bite out of Alex’s carrot‘ task in series 18, but they subsequently turn up wearing a traffic warden’s hat and blue vest over their suits. They take turns arriving on one of two tricycles, although there is a push-scooter available as a back-up in the event that the contestants handle their orders too slowly.
