Mastertask notes:

In this version of the task, all of the ducks have the word ‘and’ (‘duck’) written on them, rather than different magic words. The acceptable magic words which make Mark stop cycling are any words beginning with ‘and’ or the homophone ‘an’.

Task brief

The task brief is laid on a picnic table in front of the Colleruphus Danish Scout Corps’ cabin. The brief for the task is as follows:

Place the most ducks in Mark’s basket.

You may only carry one duck at a time.

When Mark toots his backwards horn, you must walk backwards until Mark rings his forwards bell.

You may not physically stop Mark or prevent him from moving.

If you say one of the magic words, Mark will stand still for 10 seconds.

All magic words are one-time use.

Most ducks in the basket after 10 minutes wins.

Your time starts when Mark rings his forwards bell.

Task notes

Also on the table, there are a large number of rubber ducks and decoy ducks.
Shortly after the task brief has been read, Mark emerges from behind the Scouts cabin riding on a hand-powered tricycle with a small basket mounted on the back. He then proceeds to cycle in a large circle around the table, alternately honking his horn and ringing his bell.
