The task brief is laid on a circular red green at one end of the garden. The brief for the task is as follows:
Pull something from that red green onto this red green using this string.
Throughout your pull, you must remain on this red green.
Your thing must travel through or over all the obstacles.
The biggest thing pulled onto this red green wins.
You have 15 minutes and one attempt.

Task notes
- On top of the task brief, there is a reel of string, the loose end of which runs across the lawn to a second circular red green at the other end of the garden.
- Between the two red greens, there are a series of obstacles:
- A person covered in a grey sheet, firing balls from a cricket ball firing machine encased in a papier-mâché rhinoceros head (as brought in as a prize by Andy Zaltzman, and won by Emma Sidi, during series 18, episode 7; the machine is aptly labelled ‘Property of Sidi’).
- A wide set of wooden saloon doors.
- A low see-saw ramp.
- A shallow child’s paddling pool, with very little water in it.
- A pair of oil drums.
- A pair of scarecrows resembling Greg and Alex.
- Either side of the red green from which the contestants must pull their chosen item, there are two ornamental sheep.
