Task brief
The task brief is poked through one of the portholes in the side of the hutch on a stick. The brief for the task is as follows:
Get exactly 63 points by bopping Alex on the head.
You must shout a different type of food on each bop to register the bop.
If you bop anyone other than Alex, five bops will be deducted from your total score.
You must stay in the hutch.
The fastest wins.
Your time starts on the whistle.

Task notes
- Alex has the number ‘63’ stuck to his forehead, providing a potential single-bop solution to the task.
- There is a large padded red and black mallet inside the hutch which the contestants may use to bop Alex on the head (although there is apparently no rule against them using other items instead).
- In addition to the existing portholes in the sides of the hutch, a number of other holes have been cut into it, and concealed behind furniture or artwork. Members of the production team take turns poking small cuboid figures of Alex and Greg through these holes.
- The figures of Alex each have a number printed on them (usually 1, 5, or 10), indicating the number of points earns by the contestants when correctly bopped.
- There are also images of Alex’s face printed on the back of some cushions in the hutch, which are worth 20 points.
- At one point, a tiny figure of Alex strapped to a toy car is rolled out from beneath a seat (worth 10 points).
- At another point, a mole on a stick also makes an appearance.
- Alex also dons a mask of Greg at one point, and sticks his face through one of the windows, to try to trick the contestants.
- Alex keeps track of the contestants’ scores for them, during the task.
