Here's a description of the contestants' attempts. Someone's probably working on collecting some images to add later!
- For the entire studio record session for this episode, Mahamad has been sitting in a wheelchair, wearing a neck brace, with one of his legs in a cast and a bandage on his head. He has spoken very little. Mahamad reveals that he has spent the last eight weeks making his misfortune grow. He brings photographic proof of him smashing a mirror and walking under a ladder, before presenting video evidence of being hit by a car while looking for a black cat to cross his path. Mahamad is awarded fourth place.
- When reading the task, Neel wonders if she should get pregnant. In the studio, she says that she decided not to have a child, so did some research on plants that grow incredibly quickly. She says that she planted a garden cosmos (which comes from an incredibly small seed), and it grew to nearly her height in the ensuing eight weeks (thanks in no small part to fertiliser and a greenhouse). Neel wins the task.
- When reading the task, Anders implies that he was going to get a penis enlargement. He instead says that he also decided to grow a plant. He planted grass sod in his backyard (presumably with the plan of not mowing it for two months), but the result was not to his satisfaction. He shows photographic proof of his backyard, where there are several spots where the grass is significantly higher than the rest, before bringing in a bag of the now-mowed grass onto the stage and presenting it as his “boring” entry for the task. Anders is awarded second place.
- Annika presents a picture of her four-year-old dog Tove. Tove is a smaller dog, and Annika wondered how big Tove would grow if she fed her the same feed used to make Danish pigs huge. She presents a video of Tove having grown bigger than Earth (really just a crudely-filmed video of Annika pushing a globe behind Tove). Before Lasse is able to comment, Annika admits that her submission was last-minute, as she was ashamed of what she’d originally made grow. She presents for evidence of her original entry a picture of her biting a (toy) bat, implying that she was the reason coronavirus started and spread around the world. Annika is awarded last place.
- Without preamble, Jakob stands from his seat and removes his jacket before pointing to his arm, indicating that he’s made his biceps grow. However, at the last minute, he turns around and pulls a small lock of hair from under his shirt collar – the actual thing he has been growing out for the previous eight weeks. Jakob is awarded third place for his surprising rat-tail.
