Erkku struggles to understand the task

Erkku reads the task brief more than once, and asks Pilvi if it means that all of the contents of the pitcher need to go into his mouth (while this sounds like a silly question in English, he’s not technically wrong to question this – see the Task Notes).

Frustrated, he asks how such a seemingly simple task could be so difficult, and argues that surely he’s not meant to just drink everything in the pitcher. He then jokes to Pilvi that the news must have started by now, and he’s still wondering about what the task is actually asking him to do (on MTV3, the news airs two hours after Suurmestari).

Erkku then picks up the pitcher, opens his mouth wide, and pours all of its contents towards his mouth at once, soaking himself (and shocking Pilvi) in the process.

In the studio, Jaakko asks Erkku if he believes himself to be the driest contestant of the five. Erkku jokingly replies that, given the career success of those seated around him when compared to his own, he definitely is (as in, he’s clean and sober).

Erkku completes the task in 2 minutes and 2 seconds, and is initially awarded last place. However, after Pirjo’s successful objection to Jaakko’s rankings, he is bumped up to fourth place.
