Joanne, John, and Sophie guess some movie titles
In the first round, Sophie steps into the booth. She has a bit of trouble with the first title, Goodfellas (“GOO”) which her team-mates guess to be “Goldfinger” before passing. The next title is almost identical (“THE GOO”), causing much amusement, but John correctly identifies it as The Goonies. The team then picks up speed, with back-to-back correct guesses for Titanic (“TIT”), Wonder Woman (“WON WOM”), What Women Want (“WHA WOM WAN”), Moulin Rouge (“MOU ROU”), Heat (“HEA”), The Shawshank Redemption (“THE SHA RED”), Seven (“SEV”), and The Bourne Identity (“THE BOU IDE”). In total, they score an impressive eight points in the first round, beating the other team by two.
In the second round, John enthusiastically enters the booth and helps the team correctly guess Thor (“THO”), Bad Santa (“BAD SAN”), and Snatch (“SNA”). He then pronounces “BAT BEG” before slightly changing it to “BAT BIG”, which leads Joanne to guess “Batman, Big Man” before the team correctly guesses Batman Begins. After correctly identifying The Bourne Supremacy (“THE BOU SUP”), John then pronounces “JUM”, leading Joanne to guess the non-existent “Jumungo”, causing much laughter in the studio (and coining the episode title). The team then correctly identifies the movie as Jumanji, followed by further correct guesses for Meet The Parents (“MEE THE PAR”), The Usual Suspects (“THE USU SUS”, pronounced as “THE UGE SUS”), and Mrs. Doubtfire (“MRS DOU”, pronounced “MISSES DOU”). At the end of the round, Greg asks where he can go and watch both “Batman, Big Man” and “Jumungo”. The trio win the second round with a score of eight correct titles, beating the other team again by two.
In the third and final round, Joanne steps into the booth and starts pronouncing the last three letters of each word in the titles, starting with “THE ION ING” (though she initially omits the “THE”). John and Sophie are perplexed as to what it could possibly be, and John guesses “The Shining”. Joanne passes and moves on, after making a cat growl as a hint to her team-mates. She then pronounces “BIE” for Barbie, but John and Sophie have no idea what it could be. With frustrations rising and time running out, Alex insists that Joanne tries one more for fun, so she pronounces “ISS ISS ANG ANG”, leading John to the correct answer of Kiss Kiss Bang Bang. The team finishes the round with just one correct title, so loses the round to the other team, who scored three.
At the end of the task, Greg awards the team of three the full 5 points for winning two out of the three round.
