Complete the most tasks

  • In this task, the contestants must complete as many mini-tasks as possible within a given time.
  • The mini-tasks consist of simple verb-noun pairings which often begin with consecutive letters of the alphabet, and which are written on a large piece of paper, rather than the usual sealed task brief.
  • The mini-tasks each relate to an object which is presented nearby.
  • As the contestants start reading the brief, the assistant destroys the paper - either by lighting a fuse which burns the whole thing up after a short delay, or by turning on a shredder.
  • The challenge of the task is therefore to try to quickly memorise the mini-task briefs in a limited time.

Adaptations

In this version of the task, the task brief is shredded rather than burned, meaning that the contestants have the option of retrieving and reading the shredded brief, should they think of it. Also, it does not follow the traditional alphabetical verb/noun pairing pattern of other versions of the task.
