Pull the rope to drop a specific object
- In this task, the contestants are presented with an array of ropes attached to buckets, and must aim to pull the rope to drop a specific object (e.g. a rubber duck, or a potato) in as few pulls as possible.
- The smart solution to the task is to identify that the objects in the buckets are arranged alphabetically.
Original version
In this version of the task, the contestants must find a rubber duck in one of the buckets.
Adaptations
In this version of the task, the contestants must find a potato in one of the buckets. Instead of being judged on the number of ropes they pull, they are judged on their completion time, but their time is doubled with every rope incorrect rope they pull.
