Find out what’s in the briefcase
- In this task the contestants are instructed to find out what’s in a locked briefcase as quickly as possible. Clues to the number needed to unlock the case’s combination locks are provided in the room, but the contestants are also permitted to deduce the contents in other ways, or break open the case by force.

Adaptations
In this version of the task there was a glass of red wine inside the briefcase. The contestants were provided with a series of rebus clues which would guide them to the key needed to unlock the briefcase.
In this version of the task the contestants were expressly forbidden from damaging the briefcase, which contained dried peas.
