Taskmaster Portugal: Air date and cast update

In the past week, the marketing campaign for Taskmaster Portugal has ramped up significantly, with an official announcement on the air date for the first episode, and additional details revealed/confirmed through a press conference, leading to multiple online articles about the show.

It has been confirmed that the first episode of the season will air on Saturday 19 March 2022, as anticipated (based on the fact that Portugal's televised selection process for the Eurovision Song Contest is taking place during the two prior Saturday evenings).

While most of the publicity for the show this week focused on the hosts and the fixed contestants, at least one online article disclosed the identities of seven of the guest contestants, who will take it in turns to occupy the fifth seat on stage, throughout the season.

These guest contestants are as follows: Fernando Mendes (comedian & presenter); António Zambujo (singer-songwriter); Pedro Torchas (comedian); Carla Andrino (actor); Inês Castel-Branco (actor); Rita Salema (actor); and Jorge Mourato (actor).

It is not known who the eighth guest contestant might be, assuming there is one. Based on the fact that it was previously reported that there would be eight episodes, this seems very probable.
