The brief for the task is as follows:
Sing a famous song together.
You will take turns to sing between one and three words in the correct order.
In each song there is a word that you must not sing.
If you sing that word, or the wrong word, you are eliminated.
Your time begins with David’s signal.
Task notes
- This task took place during the ‘middle of the show’ segment, as a game titled ‘Nej Sjung Inte Ordet’ (‘Don’t Sing the Word’).
- The contestants stand at the start of the task, and sit down as they are eliminated.
- The aim of the game is to think ahead to where the forbidden word falls in the lyrics, and pick a number of words that’ll help avoid that word falling on your next turn.
- In the first - and, as it turned out, only - round, the song is ‘Du gamla, du fria’ (the de facto Swedish national anthem), and the forbidden word is ‘sol’ (‘sun’).
