Attempts

Here's a description of the contestants' attempts. Someone's probably working on collecting some images to add later!

  • Janne cuts the jumper into several pieces using a knife. He then ties the pieces together into one long piece, ties one end to a guard rail, and pulls on the other end while driving in the opposite direction in a car, which rips the jumper in half. He is disqualified from the task, as the jumper did not remain in one piece. Despite being disqualified, Janne is for some reason still awarded 2 points.
  • Jenni cuts the jumper into a long strip with a knife, ties one end of it to a flag pole, and pulls on the other end to stretch it out. At the end, her jumper is measured at 4.8 metres long.
  • Jukka cuts into the jumper with an axe, and unwinds some of the yarn by hand, breaking the garment into multiple pieces which he ties together to create one longer item. However, since the jumper did not remain in one piece throughout the task, he is disqualified. Despite the disqualification, he is for some reason still awarded 2 points for his attempt. However, Jaakko deducts one of these points from him for spitting on the floor, as he leaves the lab.
  • Minka rips the jumper by hand to extend its length while keeping it in one piece. At the end, her jumper is measured at 5.3 metres long.
  • Roni uses a knife and some scissors to cut the jumper in a way that allows him to extend its length while keeping it in one piece. At the end, his jumper is measured at 14 metres.
