Task brief

The actual text of the task brief is not known. The text below is paraphrased based on information disclosed in the episode:

Try to deceive Atle into thinking you are standing or walking.

If Atle guesses incorrectly, you move onto the next round.

If he guesses correctly, you are eliminated.

Task notes

  • Each contestant is stood on a running machine, behind a giant red curtain set up on the stage.
  • The red curtain has sections cut out in front of each contestant, with separate, moveable mini-curtains covering them, so that Olli can reveal just the top half, or all of each contestant, as the game plays out.
  • Atle is seated in the middle of the second tier of the audience seating, so he is looking straight at the stage.
  • In the second round of the game, the speed of the treadmills is increased to make it more difficult for the contestants.

Attempts

Here's a description of the contestants' attempts. Someone's probably working on collecting some images to add later!

  • In the first round, Kristoffer successfully tricks Atle into guessing that he is standing, when he's actually walking. In the second round, despite doing a good job of imitating a slower walk than might be possible, by taking long strides, Atle correctly identifies that he is, in fact, walking. He earns joint first place with Live, but they each only receive 2 points.
  • In the first round, Live successfully tricks Atle into guessing that she is standing, when she's actually walking. In the second round, she attempts to trick Atle by pretending to stumble slightly, but Atle sees through the deception and correctly identifies that she is standing. She earns joint first place with Kristoffer, but they each only receive 2 points.
  • Martha attempts to distract Atle in the first round by waving her arms around wildly, but he correctly guesses that she is standing, and she is eliminated, earning just 1 point.
  • Atle correctly guesses that Henriette is standing in the first round, so she is eliminated, scoring just 1 point.
  • Espen over-exaggerates his walk to try to trick Atle, but Atle correctly guesses that he is, in fact, walking, and he is eliminated, earning just 1 point.
