The brief for the task is as follows:
Guess the fully-extended length of the extendable item.
Closest to the fully-extended length wins.
Task notes
- The contestants are arranged in their teams on either side of the stage.
- Five extendable items have been fastened to the rear edge of The Knappett (a Henry vacuum cleaner, a dog lead, a tape measure, a duster, and a ladder), and a small set of steps has been placed at the front of The Knappett.
- Each team has a posterboard marker with a wooden base representing them, which they must place at the distance to which they think each item will extend.

Here's a brief description of the contestants' attempts. Someone's probably working on writing up some additional detail, though!
- Dara, Fern and John managed to place their marker closest to the fully-extended extendible items twice, but were tricked by the short cable on the Henry vacuum cleaner, so received 2 point each.
- Munya and Sarah managed to place their marker closest to the fully-extended extendible items three times, so received 3 point each.
