Task brief

The brief for the task is as follows:

Take turns saying the name of a real, famous person.

Your famous person's name must start with the last letter in the name of the last-mentioned famous person.

You may not say a name that has already been said.

If the Taskmaster doesn't know the celebrity you name, you're eliminated.

Last contestant standing wins.

Task notes

  • The contestants are lined up on stage, next to two musicians with brass instruments (the same musicians that appeared in the 'Musical words' task of season 2 episode 4).
  • The contestants must name their celebrity during the pause in the music, or else they are eliminated.
  • The use of the musicians to help keep the pace of the game is clearly inspired by the 'Musical words' task, and the tune played is almost identical.

Here's a description of the contestants' attempts. Someone's probably working on collecting some images to add later!

  • In the first round, Martin names Peter Gade (a badminton world champion). He is eliminated at the start of the second round, after hesitating for too long.
  • In the first round, Eva names herself. In the second round, she names Thomas Helmig (a singer). She is eliminated at the start of the third round, after hesitating for too long.
  • In the first round, Sebastian names Niels Hausgaard (a singer and comedian). In the second round, he names Grethe Sønck (actor). In the third round, he names Niels-Henning Ørsted Pedersen (jazz bassist). In the fourth round, he is eliminated after naming Calvin Klein, rather than a person with a name beginning with 'K'.
  • In the first round, Julie names Diana Ross. In the second round, she names Kirsten Lehfeldt (actor). In the third round, she is eliminated after repeating the name of Niels Hausgaard (a singer and comedian, who Sebastian named in the first round).
  • In the first round, Simon Talbot names himself. In the second round, he names Tim Christensen (singer-songwriter). In the third round, he names Nik (from the hip hop duo Nik & Jay). He wins the task after Sebastian is eliminated.
