The task brief is received in the lab, written in white text on a black board, held by one of the members of the production crew. The brief for the task is as follows:
Give Mark a five-word, hidden instruction.
Mark must carry out your instruction.
You may not be seen or heard communicating with Mark.
Best hidden five-word instruction wins.
You have 20 minutes.
Your time starts now.

- Also in the lab, there is a monitor set up on the table, showing Mark sat in a sports stadium, wearing a trench coat and a trilby, and reading a newspaper.

Here's a description of the contestants' attempts. Someone's probably working on collecting some images to add later!
- Martin calls Mark on his phone and, putting on a voice, claims to be Lasse. He instructs Mark to tear his newspaper in half. In the studio, Lasse questions the accuracy of Martin's impression of him, but then points out that the task stated that you should not be seen or heard delivering the instruction to Mark. However, Lasse does not disqualify Martin, awarding him last place instead.
- Eva crawls along the floor of the stadium seating to within a few metres of Mark, and then delivers her message to him by throwing a paper aeroplane to him. Her message, written on the plane, is "Give Eva a hidden instruction". Eva is then seen, sitting on the chair swing at the Stormester house, wearing her own trench coat and trilby, and reading the newspaper. The end of the boom mic comes into frame, and she finds a secret message from Mark attached to it, which reads "Buy tickets to Mark's show". In the studio, Eva herself points out that she could very clearly be seen delivering her message to Mark. Lasse agrees but does not disqualify her, awarding her fourth place instead.
- Julie dons a disguise, consisting of overalls, a spikey grey wig, and a moustache, and poses as a worker with a leaf blower, cleaning the floor of the stadium seating. As she reaches Mark, she blows the newspaper from his hands, and then sneakily replaces it with her own newspaper, inside which she has written the instruction "Take all your clothes off". Mark willingly obliges, while Julie continues to pose as the cleaner and get an eyeful of his naked body. Lasse accepts her disguise and awards her third place in the task.
- Sebastian poses as a man walking his dog, and pretends to have a phone conversation while standing near Mark, letting the dog go over to visit him. His secret instruction of "Throw your hat in the air" is apparently attached to the dog in some way. In the studio, Sebastian claims to have communicated his secret instruction to Mark telepathically. Lasse accepts that, although Sebastian could be seen in Mark's vicinity, he could not be seen or heard delivering his instruction. Sebastian earns second place for his attempt.
- Simon hides behind a nearby wall and uses a radio-controlled car to deliver his secret instruction of "Clap your hands three times" to Mark. Lasse awards him first place for his attempt.
