In this team version of the task, the contestants are provided with a remote-controlled car, large enough for a child to sit in, which has had one wheel removed.

The task brief is found on top of a large bowl full of POLO mints, on a plinth. The brief for the task is as follows:
Reinvent the wheel.
Fit the car's axle with something that is not a wheel, then drive it to the finish line.
Fastest to drive across the finish line wins.
Your time starts now.
Task notes
- The task takes place on the gravel driveway by the side of the Taskmaster house, where a short track has been set up, marked by small traffic cones and striped caution tape, with obstacles including piles of banana skins, short green pipes, and a ramp (all of these obstacles are clearly references to the MarioKart video game series).
- At the start of the track, there is a large remote-controlled car, with one of its wheels missing, raised up with its axle on a block.
