Task brief
The task brief is laid on top of 20 bottles of vørterøl (unfermented beer) on a table in the garden of the Kongen Befaler house. The brief for the task is as follows:
Fill the red bottle with exactly 7.5 decilitres of vørterøl.
You cannot step on the carpet or move the bottle.
Closest to 7.5 decilitres wins.
You have 15 minutes.
Your time starts now.
Task notes
- Next to the table, a circular red mat has been laid on the ground, with a tall rigid pole erected at its centre.
- On top of the pole, there is a funnel connected to a short plastic tube, which descends into a glass demijohn bottle which has been painted red, and is hung from the pole.
- There are obviously many similarities to the 'Fill the cup to overflowing' task, but there are also enough differences in the set-up and objective of this task that it is categorised as original here.

Attempts
Here's a description of the contestants' attempts. Someone's probably working on collecting some images to add later!
- Vidar heads into the garage, where he finds a hosepipe and a long-handled squeegee, which he extends by taping a wooden garden tool handle to it. He tells Olli that he's planning to "blow the beer in", which Olli suggests could be considered an "inverted siphon", or "a pusher". Vidar calculates that he needs to transfer the contents of three bottles of the vørterøl into the red bottle, and so pours the beer into the end of his still partially-coiled hosepipe, and tapes the end of the hose to the squeegee, so he can lift it up to the funnel. Holding that in place, he then blows into the other end of the hosepipe, hoping to push the beer up into the funnel. Unfortunately, it turns out that he does not have the lung power to create enough pressure to achieve his goal. He uses a saw to cut a shorter length of hose, to try out his method again, but is still unable to muster enough pressure to push the vørterøl out of the end with his mouth. He comes up with a new plan instead, pouring beer into a small bucket, hung from the end of the squeegee, and using this contraption to pour the vørterøl into the funnel. In the studio, Olli reveals that Vidar managed to get 5 decilitres of vørterøl into the red bottle, which initially earns him fourth place. However, after Leo is disqualified, he moves up to third place.
- Karin sources an empty 1 litre milk carton, and tries to fill it up to 3/4 of its height with vørterøl. Turning her attention to the pole, she first attempts to push it over, but finds that it is too firmly anchored in the ground. She runs over to fetch the large garden table to stand on, but manages to break one of its legs in the process. She finds a large folding table instead, and props that up against the pole, climbing up it by using the cross-supports on the folded legs as an improvised ladder. Although she does touch the red bottle, in the process of climbing up, it is determined in the studio that she hadn't actually moved it, so this did not break the rules. Once at the very top edge of the table, she is able to reach up and pour the vørterøl into the funnel from her milk carton. She also tops it up slightly with some of the beer from another bottle. In the studio, Olli reveals that Karin managed to get 9.5 decilitres of vørterøl into the red bottle, which initially earns her third place. However, after Leo is disqualified, she moves up to second place.
- Hani initially asks out loud how she can get something to go up and then come back down again, before realising that that is exactly how gravity works. She fetches a shopping trolley from the garage, and lays it down on its side on the ground (and mat), to give her something to step on to. She then simply throws bottles of vørterøl up towards the funnel, trying to land them inside. One of her throws does land on target, but the bottle is facing up, rather than down, and very little of the spilled beer ends up inside the funnel. She then realises that she is tall enough, standing on the trolley, to just reach up and pour the beer directly into the red bottle herself. In the studio, Olli reveals that Hani managed to get 8 decilitres of vørterøl into the red bottle, which initially earns her second place. However, after Leo is disqualified, she moves up to first place.
- Lars initially expresses his hope that the task is to chug beer, since he believes he would do well at that. He then observes that he has had many of the items set out for the task inside of him, at parties. Lars empties out a bottle of dish soap, which has a volume of 7.5 decilitres, to use as a measuring cup. However, he does not bother to wash it out so, as he starts pouring vørterøl into the bottle, it just ends up generating a lot of foam, and so he ends up with very little actual liquid left inside. He keeps pouring more vørterøl into the bottle, spilling out foamy beer all over the ground, until he reaches the correct level with actual liquid. Then, folding the red mat up so that he can stand closer to the pole, but apparently forgetting the rule about not moving the red bottle, Lars uses a plank to dislodge the bottle from where it is hanging. Having brought it down to ground level, he pours in the soapy vørterøl. In the studio, he attempts to argue that he didn't move the red bottle itself, but merely removed the thing attaching it to the pole, whereupon the bottle "moved by itself". This appeal is not successful, and he is disqualified.
- Leo duct tapes a bottle of vørterøl to the end of a long pole he has found, and simply uses that to reach up and pour the beer into the funnel. He repeats this process with further bottles, taking a leisurely break in the middle of his attempt in order to enjoy a beer with Olli. In the studio, Olli reveals that Leo managed to get 7.1 decilitres of vørterøl into the red bottle, which initially earns him first place. However, Bård and Olli then receive a message "from PST" (the Norwegian Police Security Service), telling them that there is some additional footage that needs to be taken into account. This footage shows Leo clearly stepping on the red mat on multiple occasions during his attempt. He is therefore disqualified from the task.

Notes on task scores
- Leo is initially awarded the win for this task, for getting closest to 7.1 decilitres of vørterøl into the bottle. However, additional footage is then shown of him stepping on the red mat, and he is therefore disqualified.
