The task brief is laid on a plinth in the garden. The brief for the task is as follows:
Roast each character the quickest.
Your roast must be relevant to the character.
Quickest average response time wins.
Also, the best overall roaster will get 2 bonus points.
Tom will unveil the characters from left to right, beginning in one minute.

Task notes
- Also on the plinth, there is a hand-held microphone with a cord.
- About 10 metres away from the plinth, there are five cubicles shrouded in red velvet. Each cubicle contains a different target for the contestants’ roasts, presented or sat on a stool:
- The first cubicle contains a taxidermy lamb, mounted on a piece of wood.
- The second cubicle contains a doll of a young girl with long hair, a white dress, and a pearl necklace.
- The third cubicle contains a printed copy of a photo of Peter Helliar in the role of his fictional Australian Rules Football player character, Bryan ‘Strauchanie’ Strauchan.
- The fourth cubicle contains a bald mannequin dressed in a grey-and-black-striped sweater and khaki trousers.
- The fifth cubicle contains a balding man wearing the exact same clothing as the mannequin in the previous cubicle.
